Spontoon
The Spontoon (XH2036) was developed in the second half of the 17th century, more as an officer’s signaling device than a weapon, although it undoubtedly saw its share of action in hand-to-hand fighting. Our Spontoon is an accurate replication of the British 1800 pattern, a regulation-issue piece carried by color sergeants as late as 1830. The head and tail-piece only are provided. Our ash poles (XX005) may be used to complete the assembly. Total head length is 27".
